Jazz | Modern | Sound

PLS.trio is a new and upcoming band emerging in the modern jazz scene as a very innovative, yet grounded effort. This international trio is comprised of Italian pianist Pier Luigi Salami, bassist Martin D Fowler and drummer Alessandro Lombardo.

Their style goes beyond traditional boundaries and finds its realization in a mixture of different influences and genres. Characterized by the contrast between big crescendos with high-energy peaks and open reflective landscaping moments, PLS.trio’s music evokes to the narrative and story-telling aspect of live performance.

The goal of the trio is to communicate to the audience and to captivate it in a new dimension made of sounds, tales and colors that translate into feelings and memories when confronted with each listener’s personal life story.

Using Jazz as a common thread, the three musicians are not afraid to showcase elements of Funk, Latin and Dance/Electronic music into their playing.

Their influences include: E.S.T., The Bad Plus, Avishai Cohen Trio, Michel Camilo Trio, the Pat Metheny Group.
